Residents enjoy playing carpet bowls every week at our common room at our community housing site in Oakham.
Carpet bowls is a social sport suitable for all levels of fitness, the rules are simple and it’s a gentle way of being active, having fun and socialising. Residents play in teams picked each week and compete to win a small much sought after trophy that they keep until the next week. There is always lots of laughter and fun during the games with the all important coffee and cake during the break. Everyone is supported by each other and we have beginners and experienced players sharing knowledge and skills together of the game.
